In her December 2024 complaint, Lively says an April 25, 2023 meeting at her and Ryan Reynolds’ New York penthouse involved back-channel criticism of her body, claims that Baldoni contacted her trainer and suggestions she lose weight quickly. Baldoni’s lawyers counter that he contacted the trainer to plan a safe lift because of prior back issues, and say Reynolds confronted him about fat-shaming, after which Baldoni apologized.

Evidence fights and key dates

Both sides are battling over witnesses and documents: Wayfarer wants to block testimony from seven women and prior misconduct allegations and to exclude materials tied to Lively’s smear claims. Lively points to an alleged financier remark and seeks up to $300 million while asking courts to limit mentions of her and Reynolds’ net worth. A final pretrial hearing is set for April 28 and the trial begins May 18 in New York City.
