Attorneys cite social posts from shoppers who said they bought the TV after seeing Lipa's photo on the box. The suit also alleges Samsung ignored cease-and-desist demands sent after Lipa discovered the use around June 2025 and responded dismissively while the products stayed on the market.
The image is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office, and PEOPLE reports that representatives for both sides were contacted but did not immediately respond. The case will proceed in federal court as Lipa seeks redress for what she calls unauthorised commercial exploitation of her image.
